Beloved readers, dear Anu (cute SN!) left this comment (in reference to this post):
NOOOOOOOOO!! Why? ;-; If you relax, I can’t fully rely on your newer reviews! </3
It brings to light something I need to address again. I’ve spoken to it a year ago and a year before that back when I was an active member of Fotki. It clearly bears repeating.
Before I begin, let me say, gentle Anu this is not directed at you personally. Your comment just reminded me that this may need to be posted more often than I initially realized. You are not the only one with this concern. ^_^
Despite the use of CAPS and bold font, I’m writing this in a tone of concern and reassurance, beloved readers, not one of annoyance or anger.
Please know that.
I am addressing this out of sincere desire to make know my intentions regarding this blog and its purpose.
Now, then:
THIS BLOG IS FOR WOMEN
RELAXED, TEXLAXED, and
NATURAL ALIKE;
REGARDLESS OF MY PERSONAL
HEAD-OF-HAIR’S “STATUS”.
I CANNOT MAKE THAT ANY MORE CLEAR.
How is this so?
Bear in mind, beloved readers, I STARTED THIS BLOG BONELAXED.
THREE FORTHS OF THE REVIEWS that started this blog with me came about when I was NATURAL during my Fotki days.
I WAS TEXLAXED FOR YEARS WITH TEXTURES FROM 2b to 3c for YEARS before that.
THIS IS WHY MY REVIEWS MAKE A POINT TO NOTE CERTAIN PRODUCTS POSSIBILITIES FOR WOMEN BASED ON THEIR HAIR TEXTURE AND CHEMICAL STATUS (Natural or Relaxed/texlaxed).
Why do I bother to type all of this, beloved readers?
I have been blessed to enjoy the pros and cons of being natural (having gone natural THREE times), being bonelaxed (for two, two year spans), and texlaxed (for 5 years).
I want my blog to help as many women as possible.
PERIOD.
So, then, how can I ignore one “group” relaxed, texlaxed, or natural?
I was ALL THREE FOR YEARS AT A TIME!
How could I let all of the tips, tricks, and fantastic products I found while relaxed, natural, and texlaxed fall by the wayside simply because of what I choose to do with MY hair?
Should I delete my posts for natural hair and natural hair tips and secrets if I relax?
Should I delete my posts for relaxed hair and relaxed hair tips and secrets while natural (as I am at the moment)?
Should I delete all of the above if I decide to texlax in the future?
OF COURSE NOT.
That would be foolish.
More importantly, it would make my blog for “certain heads” only.
That is simply not what I want.
What I want…is to bless and encourage as many women as possible in as many ways as possible.
Beloved readers, THAT is my hope, THAT is my only wish for this blog.
IF I RELAX OR TEXLAX OR COLOR OR FLAT-IRON OR SHAVE MY HEAD BALD IT DOES NOT NEGATE THE TROVE OF INFORMATION TO BE FOUND HERE FOR WOMEN NATURAL, TEXLAXED, AND RELAXED ALIKE!
As I said in another post, what I do with MY hair, is up to me.
Yes, beloved readers, the state of my hair’s HEALTH is somewhat related to Little Golden Lamb (the blog).
Not its chemical status.
This is why I share my own hair journey with you.
I want to walk with you, beloved readers.
Which requires that I share with you, as I currently do.
Again, the state of my particular head of hair does not negate the information to be found here that was COLLECTED AND ORGANIZED TO BE USEFUL TO NATURAL AND RELAXED LADIES ALIKE.
So, my darling Anu, and those with her concerns…REST ASSURED (^_^).
I will always continue to bring information, reviews, and encouragement to my natural lovelies if I relax.
JUST AS I DID WHEN I STARTED THIS BLOG BONELAXED.
JUST AS I HAVE FOR RELAXED AND TEXLAXED LADIES WHILE NATURAL.
Let me add, beloved readers, if I do decide to relax (I’m still weighing my options and factoring in my new life in South Korea set to begin in the next three weeks.) you’ll be the first to know! ^_^
Carry on, beloved readers. ^_^
Baa. Baa. BAA! ^o^
