Feb 132012
Beloved readers, it is 2012!
I know, my dears, it has been 2012 for a bite now –I’m a little late with my obligatory (for all “serious” bloggers) “kick off the New Year” post; however, my belatedness is due to hesitation, not laziness.
I hesitated with this post, largely because I do not care to blog specifically about myself and, yes, I do deliberately bury my profile just a teensy bit for this reason.
Why?
I want my blog to be about sharing, information, discovery, transformation, healing, and a whole host of things far more important than what I had for breakfast. (Organic Diet Q&A posts not-with-standing, ha!)
I mention myself when it is absolutely relevant to a post’s content; but; by and large I do make a mighty effort to keep a low profile.
I mentioned in 2011 I would listen to your gentle admonishments to share a bit more of myself on this blog and, in my defense, I did.
Then I utterly fell of the wagon and happily faded into a little, golden blur.
I (and an observant handful of you beloved readers) noticed this and I have resolved (See! I tied it into new year!) to be better about this in 2012, beginning with this post admitting my little eccentricity (all good bloggers have at least one):
blogging –while trying to remain as hidden as possible.
“Mystery!” shriek my ovaries, “Maintain it at all costs!” –until I politely remind them I’m entertaining my blog, not a suitor and then they purr, “Gush, darling, gush.”
Sigh.
Any who, I’ll be kicking off my efforts to check in a bit more often, with this post and alert you to upcoming posts that will have to do with (gulp!) me, the author.
I will be:
Update those who have expressed interest in my Organic, Whole foods diet and life-style.
Update those who have asked about my skin care regimen (how I maintain foundation-optional skin).
Update folks on my hair –I have deliberately shifted a bit from being predominately a “hair blog”, but I know many come for hair care reviews, which I will forever write, and are curious as to what I’m up to with my little, golden crop. The short answer: various shenanigans.
And begin sharing my personal fashion and make-up philosophy. I’m getting inquiries about how I look as I go about my little, golden femininity-focused day at work, running errands, on weekends, etc. as well as general manners, etiquette and how I handle certain circumstances (In short: VERY politely, no matter how awkward).
Please be patient with me.
I do hear your requests for more pictures and videos.
I am just loath to let the newly dubbed “Femininity Now” become just another “All About Me” blog.
I want this blog to be a resource, not a reality-show. I would not expect posts such as these too frequently, beloved readers; however, I do hear you in regards to this. (Baby steps, beloved readers, I advocate baby steps for a reason!)
As always, thank you for reading.
