This product was also sent my way by the kind people at CHS, beloved readers.
Like the rest of the products I have been introduced to in this line, if you are natural or texlaxed in the 3a to (VERY loose) 3c textures categories this may become your new staple line.
If you are a tight 3c and below…this is not going to be your best match. This holds true with this product as well.
It gave me wonderful sheen, and frizz free 3c/4a curls; however, don’t expect curl definition.
It’s paraben and silicone free, rinses clean, works well with a non-greasy feel, spreads easily, greatly aids in finger combing and detangling and leaves hair feels smooth, moist, plump (and for the looser textured shiny!).
The biggest draw for this product is how soft, smooth, and sheeny/shiny it will leave your hair. It truly tames frizz and is very forgiving in terms of build up (there isn’t any) and feel (no heavy, weighed-down hair for you, beloved readers, huzzah!).
A little goes long way, which makes this economicaly, if it is a fit for your hair type.
Relaxed ladies, this is great for keeping ends moist, hair glossy, and will make for an awesomely smooth, soft, moist and shiny braid-out, twist-out, or bantu-knot-out!
It has an herbally sort of scent that leans towards clean, more so than earthy. It is not overwhelming, but it does linger.
I appreciate the slippery, runny texture as it spreads more easily and is a wonder at detangling, but keep in mind it’s easy to over use because of this (squeeze carefully!).
the ingredients I’ve found online for it are as follows:
DI Water, PVP/VA Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Laureth 23, Glycerin, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance, Polyquaternium 10.
They are slightly different on the bottle that I have. It reads:
DI Water, PVP/VA Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, glycerin, oleth-20, DMDM hydantoin, fragrance, polyquateernium-10.

Seeing DMDM Hydantoin in something that is going to be left on my head gives me the ‘willies’. I know it’s probably a tiny amount… but still.
On the other hand, it seems that everything in the ‘natural’ aisle of the beauty supply stores here contain this very ingredient. I spent a lot of time sifting through today and ended up with something that is a couple points short of ‘fab’, but such is life… I’m going go take my lemons and make lemonade.

They are out there. The products I use, don’t have this. Keep searching!
