EOS: Lip Balm (Summer Fruit)

Beloved readers, I have searched high and low for an evening compliment to my beloved Neosporin Lip Therapy Balm and a base for my lipsticks.

I love Neosporin’s product because it actually HEALS my lips, but does not play nicely with my lippies.

I have very full, pouty lips. I was nothing but eyes and lips right out of the womb.

I do not mind the attention they bring, in general, but I do want a balanced face. My lips being so prominent also means they MUST stay in tip-top shape. It also means I need high quality lips products. I have too much lip-surface to rely on multiple coats of just petroleum day and night.

I wanted something that would nourish my lips, in a way my cells fully understand via lipids and vitamins.

I type all of this beloved readers, to emphasize how awesome this product is, for me to rave about it so. Little has truly pleased my lips and this product is everything I could have hoped for. I am buying at least three before I head over seas.

So, why then, do I love this, you ask?

Firstly, the packaging is absolute perfect. Perfect.

The rounded design keeps it finger-free (tub-balms are so unhygienic!) and feels comfortable in the hand. The colors available are not neon, obnoxious, or overly childish. The EOS logo is well placed. It’s DURABLE. The cap screws on so it will not be lost. It takes up little space. You can get FULL coverage (on lips as full as mine, even) with one swipe thanks to the rounded design!

The ingredients are why I finally picked this up.

I now understand why this has received such praise around the Blog-O-Sphere: these (natural and certified ORGANIC)  ingredients do the job, with-a-capital-”J”! Behold, beloved readers:

Pure. Poetry.

The scent is unobtrusive and reminds me of the sugar-laden Bubbalicious gum I left in my childhood (I know, it was four years ago, stop snickering, you know who you are). As an aside, I did have a piece of Bubbalicious a couple years ago, after not trying it for ages and almost went into a coma having that much sugar hit my blood stream so quickly. How did I go through a pack of that in a day as a kid and not melt my teeth?

Any who!

This  balm’s performance is Oscar-worthy.

It does not cause gloss to slip about. (I used an old one to test it, then tossed my old gloss and admonished myself for keeping old make up I do not wear any more.) It is a great base (my lippie Does. Not. Budge. over this and my mattes do noy ravage my lips when I use it). It does not move about on your lips. It does not cause that “white-line” build on the inside of your lips where it meets your saliva. The thing I love most? I can put it on, while in bed, roll over, and it DOES NOT SMEAR all over my pillow (to get on my face and cause break outs). I adore this balm.
